Celeste Rollinson

Psychologist

Celeste is a passionate and engaging psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing a variety of life’s challenges. Celeste values a trusting, caring, and supportive therapeutic relationship with her clients above all. She believes in empathically treating the individual as part of a holistic system, knowing that there is always a function to one’s behaviour. When treating young people, Celeste works together with families, schools, and wider systems, to help young people and their families overcome the challenges they are facing.

Celeste has over 10 years of experience in observing, assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, social, and psychological difficulties. Celeste qualified as a psychologist in South Africa working predominantly with trauma and complex trauma presentations. She then immigrated to Australia where she worked in disability and Out of Home Care for a number of years before moving into private practice.

Celeste is also a mum of two who understands that the perinatal and postnatal period can be a vulnerable time for mum’s, dad’s, and their families. She has a special interest in working with families in navigating the challenges of parenthood, particularly supporting mums and mums-to-be with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties and that overwhelming mental load we all carry.

Celeste is constantly humbled that she has the privilege of journeying with her clients and supporting people to make meaningful changes in their lives. Celeste creates an authentic space for her clients to feel safe enough to share their stories and utilises interventions that are largely grounded in psychodynamic therapy and attachment theory; utilizing family and systems therapy, CBT, solution focused therapy, existentialism, and mindfulness techniques and strategies.
